Aberdeen firm First Marine Solutions (FMS) has confirmed an eight-figure deal with BP to provide mooring at installations in the North Sea.
The contract with the oil major is to last three years and began last month but its exact value has not been revealed.
FMS, which was established in 2009, is a leading independent supplier of mooring and riser equipment. Secure mooring and tethering of massive energy industry installations – including production platforms and floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessels – requires exacting performance capable of handling harsh marine environments.

As part of its growth strategy, Bridge of Don-based FMS has been investing heavily in mooring equipment which will be available to the market for sale or rental.
