BharatPe elevates Dhruv Dhanraj Bahl to chief operating officer


BENGALURU: Merchant payment network BharatPe has elevated Dhruv Bahl as its chief operating officer (COO) with immediate effect, said a statement issued today.

In his new role, Bahl will be leading operations across customer support, deployments – QR, Swipe & Cards, KYC, loan disbursals and lead generation. He will incrementally be responsible for building the distributor-to-retailer lending product for the company.

Prior to joining BharatPe in January 2020, Bahl was the chief business officer at Roadzen where he led the organisation across geographies. He has worked at Airtel Payments Bank as head – B2B (institutional & corporate sales)/value chain alliances and at Paytm as AVP-business. He was also associated with Fortis Healthcare for 5+ years, where he held multiple roles. He has a consulting background and has also worked with Bain & Company.

BharatPe was co-founded by Ashneer Grover and Shashvat Nakrani in 2018 with the vision to make financial inclusion a reality for Indian merchants. BharatPe has already facilitated disbursement of over Rs 400 crores to its merchants since launch. It has raised $142.5 million till date. The company’s list of marquee investors includes Beenext, Sequoia, SteadView Capital, Ribbit Capital, Coatue Management, Insight Partners, and Amplo.
