Blockvest Says Issues Of Fact In ICO Fraud Case Remain – Law360


Law360 (April 3, 2020, 5:13 PM EDT) — Cryptocurrency company Blockvest LLC and its founder have urged a California federal judge to reject a bid for summary judgment by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in a suit alleging it fraudulently advertised that its initial coin offering had the SEC’s nod.

In a Thursday opposition to the SEC’s January summary judgment motion, Blockvest LLC founder Reginald Buddy Ringgold III said the suit should be kept alive because triable issues of fact still exist surrounding the ICO, its sale of tokens and the company’s alleged misconduct.
