It looks like most people in the U.S. aren’t very adventurous when it comes to car colors.
An analysis by Iseecars.com looked at the most popular car colors in each state. What it found was only two colors were represented: black and white. White narrowly edged black as the preferred vehicle color in 27 states, while black was the top color in 23.
Alabama was in the white car column. The study showed 25 percent of cars in Alabama were white.
Outside of white, black, gray and silver cars, red the second most popular car color in Alabama, coming in at 11 percent. Nationally, red was the most popular color in 38 states, while blue was most popular in 12.
To determine the most popular colors, Iseecars.com analyzed more than 9.4 million one- to five-year-old used cars (model years 2014 – 2018) sold in 2019. The color of each car, as well as the location of sale, was tallied to determine the most popular car color nationally and in each state.

According to Iseecars.com, the most popular new car in Alabama isn’t a car at all – it’s a truck. The most popular new vehicle in the state was a Ford F-150.
It wasn’t just new trucks that were a hit with consumers. The Ford F-150 was also the most popular used car in the state.
