Biggest losers included Interfor Corp (TO:), which lost 8.07% or 1.30 points to trade at 14.81 in late trade. Canfor Corporation (TO:) declined 5.52% or 0.77 points to end at 13.19 and Centerra Gold Inc (TO:) shed 4.83% or 0.34 points to 6.70.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 544 to 505 and 121 ended unchanged on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
