Carson City arrests: Man jailed for probation violation after officers called to fight – Carson Now


A 35-year-old Dayton man was arrested Friday, 6:14 p.m. in the 1600 block of Airport Road for misdemeanor violation of a suspended sentence, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

According to the arrest report, deputies were dispatched to the area for a reported fight involving multiple subjects.

Deputies arrived on scene and made contact with one of the suspects involved. The man’s name was run through dispatch for wants and warrants. Dispatch advised the man was on Alternative Sentencing for battery with several conditions.

One of the conditions was not to possess or consume alcohol. The man consented to a preliminary breath test which resulted in a .055 BAC. An Alternative Sentencing officer was informed of the result and the agency advised the man be arrested for violation of a suspended sentence. Bail: $1,000.

In other arrests:
— A 59-year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday, 3:10 p.m. in the 1100 block of East William Street for misdemeanor suspicion of trespassing.

According to the arrest report a deputy was patrolling the area of Mills Park and observed a man sitting down near the playground surrounded by alcoholic beverages on the west end of the park.

The man’s name was run through dispatch, in which it was learned that he had been previously trespassed from the park by a Carson City Sheriff’s Office park ranger. The man consented to a preliminary breath test with a result of .160. Bail: $242.

— A 37-year-old Carson City woman was booked Friday for a warrant charge at 3:09 p.m. The woman was a current inmate in the Carson City Detention Center. The misdemeanor warrant alleging theft was issued out of Douglas County East Fork Township Court. Bail: $640.

— A 22-year-old Antelope, Calif., man was booked Friday on a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant after being extradited from Storey County. Bail: $710.
