IT may only January but chocoholics looking ahead to Easter might want to check out Celebrations’ “Easter Mix”, which includes two special treats.
The 450g sharing-size bags see the Maltesers Teasers replaced with Maltesers Mini Bunnies, while Galaxy Caramel has been swapped out for Galaxy Caramel Mini Eggs.
Also included in the pouches are the usual individually-wrapped plain Galaxy chocolates, Bounty, Mars, Milky Way, Snickers, and Twix.
Mars, which makes Celebrations, reckons the new packs would be great for Easter egg hunts in the run-up to Easter Sunday on April 12, and shoppers agree.
One person commented on a post from Instagram user NewFoodsUK, who first spotted the treats, tagging a friend saying: “Don’t judge me… but one year can we do an Easter egg hunt?”
Another person wrote: “We’ll have to take a Morrisons trip!” While someone else added: “We need these for the stash”.
But others weren’t sold with one person commenting: “This would be amazing except they’ve taken the best choc out for the new ones, just like they took the Truffle for a Twix.”
Another person joked that the packs would likely contain: “Ten Bounty’s, ten Snickers, one of everything else”.
We couldn’t see them being sold anywhere else online yet but Mars says they will be available at all major retailers.
If you’re not fussed about having Easter-themed treats, you can pick up Celebrations for less online at Morrisons though.
It’s currently reduced the price of a 400g Celebrations sharing bag from £3 to £2 making it 50p per 100g compared to 77p per 100g with the Easter version at Tesco.
Just remember to factor in delivery charges and minimum orders if you’re buying online from major supermarkets.
And before you snaffle the lot, bear in mind that three sweets from the Easter bag (29.3g) contains 145 calories.
An adult mean should have around 2,500 calories a day while it’s 2,000 for a woman, according to NHS guidelines.
Cadbury unveiled its Easter 2020 range back in October.
But chocolate fans are furious to discover how many Mini Eggs are in Cadbury’s new £5 tins.
Meanwhile, Aldi has slashed the price price of Creme Eggs to just 33p each.
