DC Startup Week is hosting a community holiday party on Dec. 12 [Events Roundup] – Technical.ly

Events Roundup is a Technical.ly column where we highlight events happening in the D.C. area each month. Got a submission? Email us the details so we can consider it for our next roundup.

Can you believe we’re 29 days away from a new year? Before 2019 is up, the organizers behind DC Startup Week are living it up by throwing a startup community holiday party for all on Thursday, Dec. 12. The event is free and will be hosted at WeWork at 1100 15th Street Ave. NW.

Register

DC Startup Week is asking attendees to bring donations to GOODProjects, a local nonprofit on a mission to fight poverty. Those interested can bring items such as winter hats, gloves, socks, unopened hygiene products and nonperishable food like chips and granola bars. Attendees who donate will receive a DC Startup Week t-shirt.

Also, be sure to dress to impress: There will be prizes given out for the best outfits of the night. The party kicks off at 5:30 p.m.
