City and County of Broomfield
Broomfield has plenty to offer by way of fun: hundreds of miles of trails, bike parks, batting cages, brew pubs, museums, concerts, art exhibits, community theater at the Auditorium, movies, classes at the recreation centers, and programs at the library. Savvy shoppers know to head to the movies before noon to catch the cheap show, and know to bring coupons along for dining deals.
What you may not know is how easy it is to explore outside of Broomfield at no cost to you. With your Broomfield Library card, you are able to take a stroll back in history, or let a tarantula walk on your palm, and even (with a little planning) go camping in a Colorado state park.
The Broomfield Library Experience Pass is your ticket to a wide variety of experiences in and around the metro area. With your Broomfield Library card, you will be able to make reservations at the Butterfly Pavilion, Denver Firefighters Museum, the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, the Denver Trolley (Memorial Day through Labor Day), the (recently-added) Denver Zoo, the Foothills Art Center, the Golden History Museum & Park, the Molly Brown House Museum, WOW! Children’s Museum, the Colorado State Parks Pass, and the Clyfford Still Museum.
The Clyfford Still Museum opened in 2011. Clyfford Still wrote a will in 1978 that left a portion of his work, along with his archives, to his wife Patricia and stated he would give all of his remaining works to the American city that agreed to build permanent quarters for the works and to never to sell nor exchange them. His art was then shut away for 20 years.
In 2004, Denver announced it had been chosen by Still’s widow as the site for about 2,300 pieces of his work. And you can see them all with your own Experience Pass.
One unique-to-Broomfield offering available with the Experience Pass is a day pass to Work at 26, the new 2,500-square-foot facility of flexible workspaces and meeting rooms. Located nearby at 26 Garden Center, Work at 26 a great working solution for local professionals and small businesses who may need a bit more room to host meetings.
If you do plan on visiting more than one attraction in a day, keep in mind that you can only borrow one pass per card per day, and the Experience Pass can only be checked out to patrons aged 18 and above. But we have lots of institutions to choose from.
Our staff always is on the lookout for partnerships with other area venues, so check our website for new adventures. What better way to try out something new on your own or as a team, cost-free? So fill up your wallet with library cards and experience your world. Each experience has its own rules, entries, and limitations, so be sure to read the fine print on our website, broomfield.org/experiencepass.
