EY collaborates with IBM to launch Security Operations Centre in India – Economic Times

NEW DELHI: With the aim of detecting, responding and addressing advanced cyber-attacks and risks encountered by organizations today, EY has collaborated with IBM to launch an advanced Security Operations Centre (SOCs) as part of its Managed Services offerings in India.

The center is equipped with leading-edge NextGen Threat Detection capabilities and powered by IBM’s QRadar platform.

Burgess Cooper, Partner – Cyber Security, EY India said, “Organizations are taking significant steps to strengthen their cyber security posture given the increasing cyber threats that continue to evolve across the business landscape. A well-designed Security Operations Centre (SoC) can go a long way in enabling information security functions to respond faster and work more collaboratively thereby driving the business to deliver on its core objectives in line with its strategic direction and vision.”

According to EY’s Global Information Security Survey (GISS), 77% of Indian organizations, in 2018, are working beyond their cyber security essentials, and are rethinking their cyber security framework and architecture to support the business more effectively and efficiently.

Vikas Arora, Chief Transformation Officer, IBM India/South Asia said, “The offering combines EY’s cyber security intelligence with QRadar, our security analytics platform that can detect and prioritise threats to critical assets and then automatically investigate those threats using cognitive intelligence. The combination of EY’s SOC security architecture combined with IBM’s cognitive offerings will help EY customers secure their organizations more effectively and build a safer future.”
