Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. You qualify for this position at the GS- 08 level (starting salary $50,912) if you possessthe following: One full year of specialized experience at the GS-07 level that demonstrates the following: 1) Utilizing firefighting apparatus and equipment; 2) Utilizing Basic Life Support equipment; 3) Performing Emergency Medical Technician Basic Life Support (EMT-B) skills; and 4) Utilizing Hazardous Material response equipment. The following certification are required for this position (You must submitproof of your Certification): Firefighter I and II
Current Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B) Certification in the National Registry
Current Hazmat Material Technician
