BOCA RATON, FL ( — ‘Twas the night before Thanksgiving and as doctors hold their breath, a Florida with no mask order has racked up lots of death. Even though the Governor has power and is able, 18,254 people will not be joining families at the Thanksgiving table.

Welcome to Thanksgiving, 2020, where the infection and death count continues to climb in Florida. The state added 8,145 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday through 11:59 p.m. with 97 new deaths. Florida’s statewide positivity rate for Tuesday’s testing is 7.10 percent.

In Palm Beach County, 442 new COVID-19 infections were added on Tuesday with 7 new deaths. The positivity rate in Palm Beach County for Tuesday’s test results is 7.10 percent.

Statewide, there are now 18,254 deaths with 961,676 COVID-19 infections. 54,133 people have been hospitalized in Florida for COVID-19 issues.

In Palm Beach County, 1,670 people have died. At least 63,146 have been infected. 4,446 people have been hospitalized.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has not been seen in a public event since the latest Florida surge began.
