Former rising star winner joins Anderson Strathern residential team

Real estate lawyer Jemma Richardson has joined Anderson Strathern as a director in its residential property team.

The University of Edinburgh graduate moves from Simpson & Marwick where she has been a senior associate with parent firm Clyde & Co. Richardson will work with Sara Jalicy, Anderson Strathern partner and head of residential property, and the firm’s head of East Lothian operations Graham White.

Jalicy said: “Jemma has acted in the purchase and sale of some of Edinburgh and East Lothian’s finest private homes and we are thrilled to have her experience on the team. We are in the midst of an ever-changing and rapidly evolving market and it’s important that we continue to offer a service that is informed, agile and outstanding in our sector. Jemma fits into that ethos entirely.”

Both Jalicy, who has led Anderson Strathern’s residential property team since June 2014, and Richardson are past winners of the Rising Star Award at the Scottish Legal Awards

Richardson, from North Berwick, said: “Anderson Strathern is viewed as one of the main players on Scotland’s residential property scene, has a fantastic client base, is highly respected by industry peers and I look forward to supporting the team’s next phase of growth.”
