Geekbench Scores Of Google Pixel 3a Revealed – Business Times

There’s no point in arguing that Google is bent on announcing the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL on May 7. Both Smartphones will highlight the company’s developer conference, I/O, and it should finally put to rest the many rumors that make the Pixel one of most talked-about devices as of late.

While Google is poised and ready to expand the Pixel family, leaks are still coming in. It’s not that we’re surprised, but it all adds up to what we’d like to expect the devices to be. A prototype of the Google Pixel 3a was recently discovered on Geekbench and it detailed several key details of the upcoming handset.

Alongside the Google Pixel 3a, Hot Hardwire reported that the single-core and multi-core scores of the bigger Pixel 3a XL were also indicated. The website however stated that despite the scores appearing on Geekbench, it should still be taken with a grain of salt. There’s no telling whether the scores are “legit” or if they tested an early version of the devices or a “later revision” that’s close to the final product.

Geekbench gave the Google Pixel 3a a score of 1,625 in the single-core test, while its multi-core score went up to 5,206. The bigger, more powerful Pixel 3a XL meanwhile peaked in at 1,773 in the single-core test and 6,133 when running multi-core.

Over the course of 3 months, Geekbench tested both devices three times. The latest test results of the Google Pixel 3a were posted on April 30, 2019, while that of the Pixel 3a XL were displayed on March 16, 2019.

On a separate note, GSM Arena reported on other details about the Pixel 3a that was also found on Geekbench. For one, the Smartphone runs on the company’s Android 9 Pie with 4GB RAM and an 8-core Qualcomm processor. Further information about the CPU remains to be missing, but previous rumors points to the Google Pixel 3a XL having a Snapdragon 710 chip. If this is the case, the Pixel 3a might don a Snapdragon 610 SoC.

The previous website placed both the Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL on the “lower section” of their graph. The placement was due to the fact that Google opined that both are mid-ranged devices. Of course, all two versions of the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 3 garnered higher scores than the upcoming devices. We’re not closing our doors to more leaks in the following days, but it’s a sure thing that most of these news will be revealed on May 7.
