Govt accepts Covid Working Group's suggestion, extends gap between two doses of Covishield to 12-16 weeks


At a time when India is struggling with both a cataclysmic Covid-19 outbreak and also a severe shortage in vaccines to shield citizens from the deadly virus, the Union government has accepted the recommendation of a COVID-19 panel to increase the gap between two doses of Covishield to 12-16 weeks, unlike the earlier 8-week gap, while at the same time suggesting no change in the Covaxin dosage interval.
