Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the gained 2.60%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the were Intralot (AT:), which rose 8.13% or 0.050 points to trade at 0.665 at the close. Gek Terna (AT:) added 7.66% or 0.370 points to end at 5.200 and Piraeus Bank SA (AT:) was up 6.74% or 0.132 points to 2.090 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Karatzi (AT:), which lost 10.00% or 0.750 points to trade at 6.750 in late trade. Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:) declined 2.57% or 0.0018 points to end at 0.0680 and Elvalhalcor Hellenic Copper and Aluminium Industry SA (AT:) shed 1.87% or 0.025 points to 1.310.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 80 to 32 and 8 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.72% or 8.70 to $1202.60 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.30% or 0.21 to hit $70.53 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.05% or 0.04 to trade at $78.66 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.22% to 1.1751, while EUR/GBP rose 1.23% to 0.8984.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.33% at 93.78.
