Harry Styles to kick off Apple Music’s livestream gig series this Friday

Apple is launching a new concert livestreaming series this Friday.

Apple Music Live will showcase performances from the biggest stars in music, with a livestream of Harry Styles in New York kicking things off.

The concert will be available to stream exclusively to Apple Music subscribers in 167 countries at no extra cost.

‘No matter how much time and effort an artist may spend crafting music in the studio, it’s on the stage where they really get to show their work,’ the company said.

Apple Music Live will be a new recurring series designed to give the biggest stars the biggest possible platform to connect with audiences by broadcasting live performances of their song.

The former One Direction star’s show will celebrate his new album ‘Harry’s House’, which drops that day, ‘and will see Harry performing songs from the album for the first time ever’, according to the announcement.

While the actual tickets for the show were $25 (£20) including taxes and fees, they are currently on sale for thousands of on the secondary ticket market.

The concert will be available to stream live on Apple Music at 2am BST on Friday and will encore on May 22 at 5pm BST and on May 26 at 4pm BST.
