Healthians to invest $5 million in marketing


MUMBAI: Doorstep health test provider Healthians is looking to invest $5 million in a bid to expand its user base and add upto 1 million users.

The investment will be made towards marketing the firm for which Healthians has roped in its investor, cricketer Yuvraj Singh to feature in the advertising campaign.

“Our vision is to add 10 healthy years to every Indian’s life by disease prevention and effective management of existing medical conditions with the help of diagnostics. The investment will be made towards a high-intensity advertising campaign, till 2019. 70% of the marketing spend will be focused on spreading awareness about the risk of various lifestyle diseases and how timely diagnosis can control the incidence and complications of the same,” said Deepak Sahni, CEO and founder of Healthians.

Healthians is used by over 4,50,000 households and offers highly trained phlebotomists and 9 precision-driven labs to ensure accuracy and perfection in tests.

Founded in 2015, the firm which is available in 20 cities is looking to launch operations in another 20 cities including Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Bangaluru and a few cities in Gujarat as also expand overseas to South East Asia, Africa and Middle East over the next two years.

Healthians has so far raised over $4 million and counts Beenext, Digital Garage, Asuka Holdings, M&S Partners, YouWeCan Ventures and HealthStart amongst its investors.
