Holiday thieves target cars in Cape Coral – NBC2 News

CAPE CORAL, Fla. — Holiday thieves are targeting cars in Cape Coral.

This week, at least seven car break-ins were reported. Cape Coral police said most cases involved unlocked cars.

Reports show the break-ins happened in the surrounding block of SE 13th Terrace in both shopping centers and neighborhoods.

Officers are asking neighbors in this area to check surveillance video for tips on who is responsible.

To avoid more thefts, officers are asking drivers to lock their cars, especially when parked outside.

They suggest keeping shopping bags for the holidays out of plain sight, removing valuable items from your car, as well as any weapons.

Anyone with information on the thefts is asked to call the Cape Coral Police Department.
