How Dylan Edwards ranks among Kansas State's top-rated running backs – 247Sports

One of the more memorable recruiting names in K-State lore, “Bubba” Brown is remembered as much for being the self proclaimed host of 2007’s “Teen Party of the Year” with special guest DJ Keem Dog as he is for being Florida’s Mr. Football runner-up. Suffice to say, this recruitment was the stuff of legends.

Rattling off an astonishing 2,229-yards rushing and 44 touchdowns as a senior, scoring a then state record 278 points that fall, Brown chose K-State’s offense over that of Auburn and West Virginia among others but academics would ultimately doom him.

Though he’d officially ink with Prince’s program in February by late summer 2008 it became apparent that Brown would not clear the NCAA standards.

After a brief stint at Butler County Community College and another at Jones County Community College in Mississippi, his career would take a strange twist when he suited up for NAIA’s Webber International after nearly a decade hiatus from competition. And, go figure, he’d still average 7.0 yards per carry and score five touchdowns as a super, super, super senior.
