How to change your Samsung Galaxy S10’s name to make it easier to find in Bluetooth and other menus – Business Insider

Every Samsung Galaxy S10 has a name that’s used to identify it when connected to a network or computer via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. That name isn’t unique, though — by default, it’s simply the name of the model of the phone.

In other words, if you connect your Samsung Galaxy S10 to a computer via Bluetooth, it’ll appear by default in the list of devices as “Samsung Galaxy S10,” potentially alongside several other phones with the same name.

To make it easier to distinguish your phone among similar devices, you can rename your Galaxy S10 with a more personalized description. Or, you might just like to rename all your devices with a more personal name, such as one that includes your own name (like “Dave’s Galaxy S10.”)
