How to find the secret Friends 25th anniversary Easter Eggs on Google

It’s been 25 years since Friends (Warner Bros Television)

Twenty five years on from one of the most iconic sitcoms ever created, Google has created a little treat for Friends fans.

Each of the six characters has been given an Easter Egg in Google’s search results.

So whether you want a rendition of Smelly Cat or a chance to PIVOT your computer screen – it’s a fun way to relieve one of the 1990s best TV shows.

How to use the Friends Google Easter Egg

All you need to do to unlock each character’s Egg is simply type their name in the search bar.

So if you put ‘Monica Geller’ into Google you’ll see a small soapy bucket appear under the fact box on the right hand side of the screen. Click it and the results will get a good clean – much to Monica’s satisfaction.

Try it for the other characters – Ross Geller, Rachel Green or Chandler Bing and you’ll get a different icon referencing their unique moments in the show.

Alternatively, if you’re looking to brush up on your 90s sitcom lingo, just search “Friends glossary” for a quick lesson in New York vocab.

This isn’t the first time Google has added in some treats to mark a big anniversary. We previously saw Dorothy’s ruby slippers make an appearance to mark 80 years since the Wizard of Oz hit cinema screens.

Meanwhile, the cast of Friends have been marking the anniversary of the show with a great throwback picture on Instagram.
