When you make an app folder on your iPhone, it automatically generates a name based on the apps you put in there. But that name doesn’t always match how you think of the apps or why you chose to put them in a folder together. Luckily, it’s easy to rename app folders on your iPhone.

How to Rename Your iOS App Folders

To rename your iOS app folder, simply follow these steps:

  1. Tap and hold the app folder you’d like to rename.
  2. Tap Rename.
  3. Type a new name and tap Done when you’re finished
  4. Click your Home button or slide up to go back to the Home Screen.

By following these steps, you should have successfully renamed your app folder. Keep in mind that you can even rename your app folder to just an emoji, rather than words.   6. Tap Done.
  7. Click your Home button or slide up to go back to the Home Screen.
