How to Score 95% in the Class 6 Exam Maths?

“There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure.”

Mathematics is not about numbers, equations, computations, or algorithms: it is about understanding. Mathematics is one of the most important subjects in life. The mathematical study must be to make the students think.

  1. Schedule – This is a basic rule which helps a student to get on track and work smoothly. A good schedule must include all activities they are interested in and must include a healthy studying pattern to reduce fatigue and develop personal life skills and must have well-spaced secluded time for their hobby.
  2. Having the correct thought process can improve your thought and your learning process. Use your morning study, because it is considered the best time. Before you sit down to study, go for a run, meditate, or eat something light. This will keep your mind clear and you will understand things better. According to various studies, meditation can help you immensely when it comes to reducing exam anxiety, depression, stress, increasing focus, IQ and concentration. 10-20 minutes of the walk can help you keep active more as compared to someone who’s been sitting consistently. Try including biking, hiking, skipping, jumping, running and walking in your daily lifestyle.
  3. Keep making notes to revise – This habit helps to retrieve all that you have learned previously. By glancing, a person can remember and helps in the long run to recall and also helps to recollect during the last moment before exams. Making the main formulas sheet is a good practice.
  1. Make use of diagrams, graphs, tables to understand the concepts better. Stretch out your topics and divide them according to the categories. For example, make use of tables to learn mathematical tables and theorize them. Go through a lot of diagrams and graph examples to understand the topic better.
  2. Have a good study circle – This develops the students as they learn tips and tricks from each other. They unknowingly evolve their characteristics and attitude. Peer learning is good as it is comfortable for the circle and students can grasp more and more without having any drift. This process enhances your learning experience. Team discussion leads to sharing of ideas and resources.
  3. Have proper sleep – That should be your motto rather than breaking your head over textbooks and notes. When you are free and lying on your bed before sleep, recall what topics you learned for the day.
  4. Don’t be awake all night before an exam – The day before your exam, take it easy. Revise and go over all pertinent topics. Concentrate on the most important issues. Eat a proper dinner and go to bed on time. Prepare your formula sheet, stationery  (Compass geometry figures ), exam admit card, and clothes for the next day before going to bed.
  5. Textbooks and guides – They help to understand the topic in a much simpler way. Take help of ncert class 6 maths book pdf to understand solutions. They contain different questions and solutions which must be referred to before question-solving. The unique solution helps at different angles to complete a complex problem. It helps to break down the problem into parts which makes it simple. Guides do have a formula list which acts as a revision and helps in last moment glancing before the exam. Guides have an important set of questions and previous papers which one must not avoid.
  6. The previous year’s paper acts as a prelim to the main exam. By solving out different papers, students understand many things. First is the time they must spend on each question. It depends upon the marks allotted. Second, the strong areas, which topics are easy to solve, for example, algebra, angel calculation, might not take much time. Third, the topic which students need to focus on as he might take more time to solve the sums related to that topic. The next thing he/she understands about his/her sharpness is how well he can recollect the method of solving and formula. Revision and short notes help to recollect. In the end, one must check the paper because each step that is written needs to be correct and each equation needs to be checked. A single mistake can make the solution wrong so as not to lose marks one must go stepwise for rechecking.
  7. Apply math to the real world – Applying math to the real world can be very beneficial for you. It will help in solving simple calculations at a faster speed. Make use of mental math. Play math games. Make a list of all the important formulas and write it down on a piece of paper. Commit yourself to revise and learn them every night before you go to bed. To make effective learning of mathematics, create your own hand formula notes and revise each day which helps to solve all problems. Before solving any problem chose what type of formula is used here then solved it without seeing answers.  If you solve a problem and you get the answer wrong, review each step to see if you have written the numbers correctly, used the correct formula, and then check the answer again. Solve the problem again if needed. Don’t panic if you get the same answer twice. If you feel the answer is right, then trust yourself and go to the next question.

Enjoy learning maths and it will help you in life. Wishing you all the best.
