Chinese telecoms giant Huawei is stepping up efforts to poach customers from Apple with a series of new laptops and phones.

At an industry conference in Barcelona, Spain, the firm revealed its first folding smartphone and several new versions of its Matebook computers.

Experts have pointed out that Huawei’s Matebooks have many similar features to Apple’s Macbook laptops – but sell for lower prices.

Apple’s MacBooks start at £1,250 while Huawei’s Matebook Pro X currently sells for £1,199 online.

Huawei revealed its first version of the product last year and after strong sales said it would now release a new Matebook Pro X, Matebook 13 and Matebook 14.
