MUMBAI: In a first of its kind tie-up, India’s second largest multiplex chain Inox Leisure has partnered with the International Cricket Council (ICC) to show select matches from the upcoming ICC World Cup live across its major properties.

The ICC World Cup 2019 is schedule to kick off on May 30 in England and the final will be played on July 14 at the iconic Lord’s stadium.

Inox will showcase all the nine league matches of the Indian team along with the semi-finals, final and a few marquee league matches. In all, Inox will air 15 matches at multiplexes in Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Pune, Jaipur, Indore, Vadodara, Surat, Noida, Gurgaon and Faridabad.

“Inox will be India’s cinematic cricket stadium, offering a thrilling and an unparalleled experience to the cricket fans,” said Alok Tandon, CEO, Inox Leisure. “We are glad that we will be able to generate the excitement and energy, much similar to watching a match live in a stadium. We have been innovating with our content offering and the screening of World Cup matches is a massive milestone in this endeavour.”
