ISA: Help to Buy bonuses can be used for land under these conditions – full details

However, while most will be aware of how Help to Buy bonuses can be used for properties, many may not realise that they can also be used for land in certain circumstances.

Help to Buy holders, assuming they have met all other eligibility criteria, can use the government bonus towards the purchase of the land for a self-build property.

The bonus can be used for this so long as the property is the only home the holder will own, be where they intend to live and be purchased with a mortgage.

The land must be in the UK, have a price of £250,000 or less or up to £450,000 in London.
