Japan’s M3 acquires majority share in Neuroglia Health

MUMBAI: Japanese healthcare firm M3, Inc has acquired a majority share in Bengaluru-based Neuroglia Health, a startup that provides web-based applications for doctors and medical students in India.

M3 last year had collaborated with Barman family-owned Healthcare at Home to launch an online portal that provides information to Indian doctors regarding research, medical news, and evidence-based medicine.

“The acquisition will enable M3 India to escalate its marketing support and market research businesses to pharmaceutical and medical devices companies through expansion of doctor membership and enhancement of medical education contents”, said Amit Singh, CEO of HIPL (M3 India)

The Japanese firm also intends to import services and technologies developed in Japan and/or internationally into India, on services such as job placement, Artificial Intelligence applications in an attempt to build next generation healthcare technologies.
