LONDON (Reuters) – Police said they had stood down an investigation at South Quay station in London’s Canary Wharf financial district after nearby buildings and a footbridge were briefly evacuated in a security scare.

A police spokeswoman said they had investigated suspicious packages but that the area had been declared safe.
