Markets were highly volatile during the morning deals on Wednesday.
The S&P BSE Sensex was trading at 39,140 levels in the early deals. HCL Tech, up 3 per cent, was the top gainer at the index, while IndusInd Bank, down 1 per cent, was the biggest laggard.
On NSE, the broader Nifty50 was trading above 11,600-mark.
Sectorally, indices were trading mixed. Nifty PSU Bank was the top performer, up 0.82 per cent. On the downside, Nifty Realty index was trading 0.85 per cent lower.
In the broader market, the S&P BSE mid-cap index was down 0.26 per cent, while the S&P BSE small-cap index was up 0.20 per cent.
Shares of RBL Bank froze in the lower circuit band of 10 per cent at Rs 258 on the BSE on Wednesday after the private sector bank posted its worst quarterly show for the July-September quarter (Q2FY20) since listing on August 31, 2016. READ MORE
