MDCC's second football slate starts with Homecoming Saturday – Enterprise-Tocsin

The Mississippi Delta Community College football team has experienced quite a number of twists and turns thus far in the 2020 season, due largely to COVID-19. This has caused the original six-game schedule to go through numerous postponements and cancellations.

However, the Trojans are looking to get four games in over the next few weeks, thanks to rescheduling with fellow Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) opponents.

This all gets started with the annual Homecoming game at 2 p.m. on Saturday versus Northwest Community College, which will be played at Jim Randall Stadium on the Moorhead Campus.

The updated remaining portion of the schedule is as follows:

Nov. 7            NORTHWEST (2 p.m. – Homecoming)

Nov. 12          @Coahoma (6:30 p.m.)

Nov. 19          @Northwest (7 p.m. – Makeup date from week one)

Nov. 25          HOLMES (6 p.m.)

For the home games in Moorhead (Nov. 7 and Nov. 25), fan capacity will remain at 25%, per the Governor’s orders for colleges and universities.

Each visiting team will receive 160 tickets, and for the Homecoming game on Saturday, all allotted visiting tickets have been SOLD OUT. There are a few more remaining general admission tickets for MDCC fans at $7 apiece, but these are only available on a first-come, first-serve basis at the ticket booth.

Jim Randall Stadium holds 2,000 people, so the capacity will be capped at 500 for the two home games left. Once this capacity is reached, we will no longer offer admission into the contest.

If you are unable to make it to Moorhead, or capacity has been reached, there is no need to worry. You can catch the game on our YouTube channel by searching MDCC Trojans on the MDCC Sports Network.
