Investing.com – Mexico equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the rose 1.58% to hit a new 6-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the were Cemex SAB de CV (MX:), which rose 4.22% or 0.560 points to trade at 13.830 at the close. GMexico Transportes SA de CV (MX:) added 3.93% or 1.210 points to end at 31.970 and Grupo Aeroportuario Del CentroNorte (MX:) was up 3.38% or 3.950 points to 120.940 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Gentera SAB de CV (MX:), which lost 2.59% or 0.510 points to trade at 19.160 in late trade. Mexichem , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:) declined 0.02% or 0.010 points to end at 64.490 and Kimberly – Clark De Mexico A (MX:) gained 0.06% or 0.020 points to 34.160.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 209 to 94 and 9 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.32% or 3.90 to $1217.20 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.32% or 0.22 to hit $68.94 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.64% or 0.49 to trade at $76.62 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.80% to 18.7751, while EUR/MXN fell 0.27% to 21.9295.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.44% at 94.66.
