MORRISONS is open over the Bank Holiday weekend so shoppers will still be able to pick up food and other essentials.
The supermarket is open as normal for the VE Day holiday – although it is still worth checking the information for your local store online just to make sure.
You can find your nearest Morrisons here.
When is Morrisons open over the VE Day bank holiday weekend?
Morrisons’ core opening hours are typically 7am to 10pm for most of its stores.
This remained the same even on the bank holiday Friday.
It has recently introduced a dedicated hour, running from 6am until 7am, for NHS workers to shop every Monday to Saturday.
Today the majority of its stores open at 9am for NHS workers, and then at 9.30am for other customers.
Any other stores that normally open later than 9.30am will open one hour earlier for NHS staff.
In Scotland, stores open at 7am today.
Is Morrisons delivering over the weekend?
Most Morrisons online delivery slots have been selling out weeks in advance, so if you don’t already have one, it’s highly unlikely you’ll get a slot in time for this weekend.
When we checked on Thursday using one London postcode, the supermarket had no slots available over the weekend.
The supermarket has been getting in contact with vulnerable customers who already have a Morrisons shopping account to try and help them secure a slot.
Morrisons previously told The Sun there is no specific time when new slots are added.
