Mutual funds to create Rs 5 crore in 15 years

I am 34 years old. I am a new mutual fund investor. My goal is to have a lumpsum amount of Rs 5 crore in 15 years. My risk profile is moderate. I want to invest initially a lumpsum amount of Rs 10 lakh. Also, start SIPs of around Rs 50,000 per month. Could you please suggest to me three mutual funds to invest Rs 10 lakh. Also, which mutual funds for the SIP. I am mostly oriented towards technology and IT funds.

Assuming an annual return of 12%, you need to invest around Rs 99,000 every month to create Rs 5 crore in 15 years. You want to invest a lumpsum of Rs 10 lakh and a monthly SIP of Rs 50,000. Assuming an annual return of Rs 12%, your lumpsum investment would grow to Rs 54.74 lakh in 15 years. And an SIP of Rs 50,000 would help you to create a corpus of Rs 2.52 crore in 15 years. That means you need to invest more or revisit your targets. You may also increase your SIP every year to build a larger corpus.

We ask moderate investors to invest in flexi cap schemes. These schemes invest across market capitalizations and sectors/themes based on the view of the fund manager. Here are our recommended flexi cap schemes:
Best flexi cap schemes. You can choose one or two schemes and invest your lumpsum in a few months. You can also start your SIPs in these schemes.

We do not recommend sector schemes as these schemes are risky and they also go through phases. It is very important to get in and out of these schemes at the right time. Regular investors would find it difficult to do. Also, they will struggle to hold on to their investments and continue with their investments during tough phases in the market. That is why we believe investors can take a meaningful exposure to sectors that are doing well by investing in a good flexi cap funds.
