New online game explores next big cryptocurrency players including Elon Musk, Björk and Tom Brady – Daily Record

It has been boldly predicted that in 2022 Bitcoin will take market share away from gold due to digital assets becoming more universally adopted, according to Goldman Sachs analyst Zach Pandl.

Goldman Sachs has estimated that Bitcoin’s float-adjusted market capitalisation is nearly $700 billion (£523 billion), which accounts for an impressive 20% share of the overall market composed of Bitcoin and gold – the value of gold that’s available for investment is estimated at $2.6 trillion (£1.94 trillion).

Bitcoin has taken the world by storm in recent years, growing from a concept in 2009 that was laughed at and faced harsh criticism, to something that many people now view as a long-term investment.

To demonstrate just how popular cryptocurrency has become, uxsequence.io has created a ‘Guess Who’s Next’ game, putting a crypto twist on the hugely popular board game.

The game aims to inform and educate people new to the world of cryptocurrency how quickly it is expanding and how different ones are being adopted by celebrities including Elon Musk, Björk and Tom Brady.

The game also sees big tech names with their big bank accounts across the board. Including Facebook CEO and Founder, Mark Zuckerberg and the Co-Founder of Apple, Steve Wozniak.

In 2017, the Icelandic singer accepted Bitcoin to buy her new album. Her record label collaborated with Blockpool to encourage the use of digital currency by her fanbase. The reason she wanted to allow fans to pay with cryptocurrency for her album was about “doing things where you use blockchain and the crypto benefits in ways that people haven’t thought of yet.”

Commenting on the quirky game, and the rise in digital currency, uxseqence.io’s Adam Waterhouse said: “It all comes down to these people changing their profile pictures to laser eyes to announce their interest/investments in Bitcoin, sometimes without even having to do a Tweet or explain anything.

“When our Twitter feed became flooded with laser eyes we thought it would be a great idea to document this in a really fun piece.”
