Investing.com – Nigeria equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.

The biggest gainers of the session on the were Stanbicibtc Hl (LAGOS:), which rose 6.24% or 2.70 points to trade at 46.00 at the close. Unilever Nig (LAGOS:) added 5.33% or 2.40 points to end at 47.40 and Wemabank (LAGOS:) was up 3.64% or 0.020 points to 0.570 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Uacn Prop (LAGOS:), which lost 9.70% or 1.15 points to trade at 10.70 in late trade. Guiness Nig (LAGOS:) declined 7.14% or 6.15 points to end at 80.00 and Pz Cussons LG (LAGOS:) shed 2.33% or 0.30 points to 12.55.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 42 to 39 and 15 ended unchanged on the Lagos.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.96% or 1.41 to $73.53 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 2.08% or 1.69 to hit $83.07 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.77% or 9.10 to trade at $1196.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/NGN was up 0.00% to 422.260, while USD/NGN fell 0.14% to 362.500.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 94.72.
