The project will see store listings updated and disseminated across more than 50 search platforms, to optimise their visibility in local searches.
The partnership with Yext will be a step up from the current Nisa Locally store locator site and will help retailers to feature automatically in 50 plus search engines and directories including sites such as TripAdvisor, Facebook, Google and Yelp.
Research shows that after conducting a search more than three-quarters of people visit a business within one day and almost a third of them make a purchase.
Philippe Rondepierre, head of marketing at Nisa, said: “We’re encouraging all Nisa partners to work with us on this project, by providing as much relevant information about their stores as they can. Accuracy and richness of data available to people making online searches are two the biggest influencers of visibility.”
Search listing can include basic details such as store name and address, telephone number, opening hours, reviews, services provided, store images as well richer data which will help Nisa partners attract new shoppers.
“It is no longer enough for us to hope that shoppers will visit our website store locator and we cannot rely on their searching Nisa by name. An exponential growth in “near me” searches, increasingly carried out by people on the move, via their mobile phones, offers an opportunity to drive footfall into stores and in turn increase sale,” added Rondepierre.
