COFFEE COUNTY, Ala.– It’s been one year since Harrand Creek Elementary school teacher and mother of four was found shot to death, outside her home on County Road 647 outside of Enterprise.
36-year-old Sara Starr was found shot,execution style when she was leaving for work that morning.
Several press conferences have been held with law enforcement assuring the public the investigation will continue until the killer is caught.
A $5,000 reward was granted by Governor Kay Ivey to be given to anyone with information that leads to an arrest and conviction. A request to increase the award amount was denied.
A person of interest has not been named.
The Coffee County Sheriff’s Office, Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, and FBI are assisting in the investigation.
