Estate agency Pacitti Jones has continued its Scottish expansion with the acquisition of Penworth Properties.
It acquired the Kilsyth-based firm for an undisclosed sum, following its recent acquisition of law firm Alexander, Jubb & Taylor in Dennistoun last month.
Penworth Properties was founded more than 10 years ago by local businesswoman Beth Penman. She will continue to work with Pacitti Jones following the acquisition from its Kilsyth offices.
Pacitti Jones now has nine branches across Glasgow and Central Scotland and this merger will expand its operations in the Greater Glasgow region.
Penman said: “I have been looking for the right partner to help grow our offering in Kilsyth and Cumbernauld and to provide the core focus of personal service to our loyal customers.
“With Pacitti Jones’ focus on providing a high quality and personal service from local community focussed branches, I found them to be a perfect fit for both myself and Penworth Properties – and together we can take the business to the next level.”
Pacitti Jones chief executive John O’Malley said: “Beth is joining Pacitti Jones and will continue working from the same premises in Kilsyth which was critical to us to provide the continuity and expertise to the local area.
“With our existing branches and infrastructure in Glasgow, Lenzie, Bishopbriggs and Stirling we are well placed to serve the local communities of Kilsyth and Cumbernauld now and offer a one stop shop for all their home buying, selling and mortgage needs.”
