PIP payments could be reduced if you claim constant attendance allowance – full details

PIP payments can range between £23.60 and £151.40 per week depending on the claimant’s condition. The amount awarded will be based on how the condition affects the claimant and not the actual condition itself.

When PIP is claimed, recipients will usually get a decision letter which will tell them:

  • the date of their first payment
  • what day of the week they’ll usually be paid

PIP is usually paid once every four weeks.

To be eligible for PIP, a claimant must be aged between 16 and of state pension age.

They must also have a health condition or disability where they have had difficulties with daily living or getting around (or both) for three months.

Additionally, they must also expect these difficulties to continue for at least nine months.

Claimants must also have lived in England, Scotland or Wales for at least two of the last three years.
