Police Catch 7-Eleven Robbery Suspect: Report – Patch.com

ANNAPOLIS, MD — An Annapolis 7-Eleven was robbed early Wednesday morning. Officers caught the suspect the next day, police reported Friday.

An incident writeup said a man entered the convenience store, located at 730 E. College Parkway, around 3 a.m. Police accused the suspect of flashing a knife and demanding cash from the register.

The clerk complied, and the man fled on foot, officers noted. Police searched the area, but they couldn’t find him.

Officers eventually identified Annapolis man Jeremy Slade Cox as the suspect. The Anne Arundel County Police Department secured an arrest warrant Thursday. Police arrested Cox at his home later that day.

Cox, 36, faces felonious charges of robbery, armed robbery and first-degree assault. He is also charged with three misdemeanors: Concealing a dangerous weapon, second-degree assault and theft worth $100 to $1,500.

Cox had a bail hearing Friday morning, but the Maryland court system does not yet show its results. The case does not yet list a trial date.
