Eight Premier League clubs have a gambling company as their main shirt sponsor for the 2020/21 campaign – a number that is two fewer than last season.
While all top-flight teams in England are at least partnered with a betting firm, none of the ‘top six’ have one on the front of their match jerseys.
Some of the companies that are displayed on Premier League kits are not traditional UK betting sites, and several are not even open to British users.
Below is a breakdown of the betting brands that are shown on the front of shirts of Premier League clubs.
Burnley – LoveBet
In June 2019, it was announced that Burnley had entered a three-year deal with the Asian betting brand.
The logo appears on both the front and the sleeve of the shirt.
Founded in 2007, LoveBet offers over 30,000 live betting events each month and is regulated by the United Kingdom Gambling Commission.
Crystal Palace – W88
W88 is one of the top brands in Asia and on their site, a range of sports betting options can be found along with casino games and poker.
It is not open to UK players, but through their partnership with Crystal Palace, who have been in the Premier League since 2013, they are able to target the Asian market.
Fulham – BetVictor
Of all of the gambling-related shirt sponsors in the Premier League, BetVictor might be the most recognisable in Britain.
The independent bookie was founded in 1946, and on their site, you can claim free bets if Fulham win.
Both the men’s and women’s teams have the BetVictor logo on their shirts.
Leeds United – SBOTOP
SBOTOP partnered with Leeds in 2020 and it became the biggest commercial deal that the club had ever completed.
The betting site has many excellent features, including the ability to build your own bet, cash out, edit your bet, and place ‘pulse bet’ wagers.
Newcastle United – Fun88
The sponsorship agreement between Newcastle and Fun88 was established in 2017 and extended in 2020.
On the Fun88 UK betting site, the sportsbook is powered by SBTech, which is one of the leading iGaming providers in the world.
Southampton – Sportsbet.io
Sportsbet.io is a cryptocurrency-based sportsbook and casino, and they became Southampton’s shirt sponsor in 2020.
Incidentally, they are also Arsenal’s betting partner but do not appear on the Gunners’ matchday shirts.
West Ham United – Betway
Like BetVictor, Betway is a prominent betting site in the UK and that is partly because they have been West Ham’s principal partner since 2015.
Betway also sponsors events within sports such as darts, tennis, cricket, horse racing, boxing, and more.
Not only is Betway big in the UK, but it is also one of the best sites for online betting in Canada.
Wolverhampton Wanderers – ManBetX
Having previously sponsored Crystal Palace, ManBetX became Wolves’ principal partner in 2019.
Asia is ManBetX’s primary market, and there they offer odds on football, basketball, ice hockey, and more.
