Premium Bonds checker: How to check December premium bonds winning numbers

December 1 marks the release date for premium bonds numbers , and people all over the country will likely have seen at least a modest cash prize. Two people will have been lucky enough to claim a cool £1 million, and another eight have won prizes ranging from £50,000 to £100,000. Numbers were generated by the Electronic Random Number Indicator Equipment, codenamed ERNIE, as is tradition. Checking whether you are a winner or not is easy, as a search function has been created by NS&I to help you find out.

How to check premium bonds winning numbers

December premium bond numbers are not out yet, but will be incoming in a matter of hours.

When the time comes, the biggest prize winners will be listed on the NS&I website, along with their winning bonds numbers.

If you can’t see your numbers listed in the big winners list, you can find out if you’ve won a smaller amount via a handy search tool.

NS&I has included the tool on their website to check their database for whether you have won.

To check the NS&I database and see if you’ve won a tidy sum this month, head over to www.nsandi.com.

From there, you can scroll down the page to the ‘have you won?’ section, and type in your holding number.

The number is given to you when you open an account with the service, which includes your total savings inside.

Each pound in your savings are issued their own unique value, and these are checked through the system to find out whether one of these is a winner.

Those still unsure if they have won in the last six months can check too, if you click the ‘previous six months’ or ‘unclaimed prizes’ options after you enter your number.

If you can’t access your numbers over the internet, you can find out using alternative methods.

The easiest alternative is to address a letter to NS&I, at Glasgow G58 1SB.

You can request the service for a bond record, which will come with the bonds you hold, holder’s number and NS&I number.

You will need to include your personal details, reference numbers (NS&I, holder/customer, account, Bond or Certificate numbers), details of your accounts or investments, and a signature.
