Riverside County coronavirus cases jump by 38 to to 233 – Press-Enterprise


Confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus in Riverside County jumped by 38 to 233 on Sunday, March 29, but the number of deaths remained at eight.

On Saturday. there were 195 cases. The new cases are spread across the county and show the first case in San Jacinto. Moreno Valley now has the most cases in the county, with 23.

Some cities in the county’s map saw numbers go down as officials refined the map “to better reflect unincorporated areas throughout Riverside County,” Dr. Cameron Kaiser, public health officer for Riverside County, said in a tweet.

As of Sunday afternoon, the confirmed COVID-19 case breakdown for Riverside County cities was:

  • Moreno Valley, 23 cases
  • Palm Springs, 22 cases, two deaths
  • Riverside, 19 cases
  • Corona, 16 cases
  • Temecula, 14 cases
  • Palm Desert, 13 cases, one death
  • Indio, 11 cases, two deaths
  • Rancho Mirage, 11 cases, two deaths
  • Eastvale, nine cases
  • Murrieta, eight cases
  • La Quinta, eight cases
  • Menifee, six cases
  • Wildomar, five cases
  • Cathedral City, five cases
  • Beaumont, four cases, one death
  • Perris, four cases
  • Lake Elsinore, four cases
  • Desert Hot Springs, four cases
  • Jurupa Valley, three cases
  • Banning, two cases
  • Norco, one case
  • Hemet, one case
  • Blythe, one case
  • San Jacinto, one case
  • Canyon Lake, one case
  • Calimesa, no cases
