NORTH ADAMS — In his 19th year at the helm, Mike Dowling’s McCann Tech Hornets are buzzing in a big way.

The squad picked up its 10th win of the season on Tuesday, trouncing Commerce 7-1, and in the process earning Dowling his 200th career victory.

McCann (10-2-3, 9-1-3 Tri-County) got a hat trick from Izzy LaCasse and three assists from Molly Boyer to outpace the Red Raiders.

LaCasse scored three times in a first half that saw the Hornets jump out to a 5-1 lead. LaCasse now has 26 goals this fall.

Addison Hayer added a goal and an assist for McCann. In net, Savanah Reynolds was spotless for a half, and Keira Lennon made three saves.

PITTSFIELD — The Braves fell to the visiting Tigers by set scores of 19-25, 26-24, 25-19 and 25-14.

Kacie Chadwell had five kills and five aces in the loss. Juliana Huxtable added five kills.

The loss followed up a five-set thriller from the night before. Playing at Mount Everett, the Braves (6-8) rallied to post a 3-2 win. The set scores were 24-26, 22-25, 25-22, 25-19 and 15-10.

Hartwick women 3, MCLA 0

NORTH ADAMS — Visiting Hartwick got a goal from Nicole Chisdak in the first half, and that stood up in a win.

MCLA falls to (2-12-1) with the loss. Megan Richardson stopped eight shots in the loss.

Gabrielle Kreppein had two assists in the victory for Hartwick.
