Royal Philips elevates Gulbahar Taurani as president of its India personal health business

KOLKATA: Royal Philips has elevated Gulbahar Taurani as the president of Philips personal health business in India. Taurani will succeed A.D.A Ratnam who has put in his papers, a company release said.

Taurani, 44, has been with Philips for 15 years and till recently was the marketing director for personal health in India looking after areas like consumer connect, brand awareness, innovation and operational excellence for all businesses.

“I am delighted to see Gulbahar taking on the role of business head for personal health in India, building on the strong legacy left by Ratnam. We have always believed in being close to our consumers and meeting their requirements through a steadfast focus on world class innovation and quality,” said Daniel Mazon, vice chairman and managing director, Philips Indian subcontinent.

Ratnam had worked with Philips for over 14 years. “His (Ratnam) efforts have been instrumental in turning around the India business into one of the most profitable and fastest growing businesses in Personal health globally. He leaves behind a strong and capable team at Philips personal health” said Mazon.
