Ben Affleck worries his kids think he’s “fundamentally sad” because of internet memes.
The Oscar-winning star is conscious of how he’s portrayed online, and he doesn’t want his kids to base their opinions of him on the memes they see on the internet.
Affleck, 49 – who has Violet, 16, Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, nine, with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner – told the Los Angeles Times newspaper : “The ‘Sad Affleck’ meme – that was funny to me. I mean, there’s nobody who hasn’t felt that way at a junket.
“But then my kids see it and I think, ‘Oh, are they going to think their dad is fundamentally sad or they have to worry about me?’ That’s really tough.”
The Hollywood actor and Jennifer Lopez rekindled their romance in 2021, and they “really enjoyed” spending Christmas together.
The celebrity couple – who previously dated between 2002 and 2004 – relished spending the festive season with each other.
