Extending its winning streak to a fifth straight session on Friday, domestic stock market surged nearly 1 per cent led by solid gains in banking and IT names. After opening on a firm note, Sensex rose as much as 450 point and while Nifty50 tested the 11,500 level. However, the stock market came under some selling pressure in fag-end trading, with the BSE Sensex ending 269.43 points higher at 38,024.32. The NSE Nifty ended at 11,426.85, up 83.60 points or 0.74 per cent.
