Startups still eligible to apply for ANDZA competition and share of R10 million – htxt.africa

This year, in early May, the SA Innovation Summit invited all qualifying startups to take part in the ANDZA competition.

Now with only one week until the closing date on 19th July, startups still have the opportunity to take part in this, where they will get a chance to be considered for a share of R10 million in investment funding and acceleration.

According to IOL News, ANDZA aims to develop South Africa’s top entrepreneurs and fast track them to success, focusing on seed, venture and growth stage businesses.

“The purpose of acceleration is to develop an existing business by providing support which can include training, mentorship, and other resources,” said Andza.

The SA innovation Summit in collaboration with the SA SME Fund will be hosting ANDZA, with a countrywide search being narrowed down to the 10 best startups who will pitch their business in front of a panel of industry leaders at the 2019 SA Innovation Summit.

Furthermore the winner of the competition will receive a cash prize of R250 000 each, while the two runners-up will receive R125 000 each.

In order to be eligible for acceleration, participants will need to meet the requirements of this specific accelerator. Entrepreneurs can still enter here for the chance to be part of this competition.
