You can check your State Pension by using the State Pension forecast tool online, here.

You can use this tool to found out:
• how much State Pension you could get (this amount is also known as your State Pension forecast)
• when you can get it
• how to increase it, if you can

The amount you could get is based on an estimate of what your National Insurance record could be when you reach State Pension age.

You can’t use this service if you are already claiming your State Pension, or if you’ve deferred claiming it.

You can also check your State Pension by phone or post, if you reach your State Pension age in more than 30 days.

You can ring the Future Pension Centre and ask for a State Pension statement.

The centre is open between 9.30am and 3.30pm Monday to Friday.

The statement will tell you how much State Pension you have built up so far based on your National Insurance contributions and credits on your record at the time the statement is produced.

Alternatively, you can complete an application form, a BR19, and send it to the Future Pension Centre.

They will send your statement and you will receive it within 10 working days.
